Starting a Business on a Budget

From the time I was a young boy, I always knew I wanted to be my own business owner. Later in life, I ended up working in an office and barely making ends meet. I kept telling myself that I couldn't start my own business until I saved up a certain amount of money or finally cleaned up my credit and got approved for a loan. Eventually, I realized that if I wanted to start a business, I just could not wait any longer and had to do it on a tight budget. I made things work, and I am now a successful business owner. I learned a lot while building my business and still learn every day, so I decided to start a blog to help other new business owners. I plan to post many tips, so come back often for new tips.

No matter what kind of sales you are in, data should be treated like your very best friend. If you are just starting out in the business and need to get to know consumers better, it is wise to take a look at sales data from other dispensaries in the area, even if you have experience stocking a cannabis store somewhere else. Something like Purple Kush flowers may be more popular in one area than the next, or consumers in one area may prefer cannabis vape cartridges more than actual herb.

Look at seasonal buying trends to properly stock your shelves.

For instance, something like CBD products and therapeutic cannabis products may do best through the winter when cold temperatures have people feeling achy and more tired than usual. Buy analyzing data relative to seasonal buying trends, you can make sure your dispensary is rightfully stocked with the best items at the right times of the year.

Find products that are flailing and get them out of the way.

Sometimes, you can make adjustments and improve sales volume. For instance, if you have a new edible CBD product and people are not buying it, it may just be that the product is not very visible on store shelves are not getting enough recommendations by your staff.
